Results of genetic research indicate that the Amur leopard is genetically close to leopards in northern China and Korea, suggesting that the leopard population in this region became fragmented in the early 20th century. In 2021, it was reported the population was about 110 individuals. In 2019, it was reported that the population was about 90 leopards. Camera-trapping surveys conducted between 20 revealed 92 individuals in an 8,398 km 2 (3,242 sq mi) large transboundary area along the Russian-Chinese border. Īs of 2015, fewer than 60 individuals were estimated to survive in Russia and China. It is listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List, as in 2007, only 19–26 wild leopards were estimated to survive in southeastern Russia and northeastern China. The Amur leopard ( Panthera pardus orientalis) is a leopard subspecies native to the Primorye region of southeastern Russia and northern China. Fish at the wrong time of day and you will catch nothing.Historic and present distribution of the subspecies (excluding northern China to the west of Manchuria) I cannot remember the exact time of day the thing bites at. Have different sized hooks on different rods.Īnything that will bite on any meat based or fish based bait will bite on the Frankenbait, so those nibbles are probably crappy or catfish, or something else fairly small. The Pikeslasher is a large fish, and this weeds out the little stuff. The spot is fairly shallow, so 10 inches to 50 inches or so is most likely. I do not remember the exact depth it bites at, so try some different ones. Probably three or four (unless you are level 50+). The best spot is right at the edge of the plants, where they extend furthest into the lake.Īs such, you can set out as many rods baited with Frankenbait as you can fit in the holder plus one in your hand. Go to the left most fishing site, facing the water ( the one without the Boat Ramp).
